revolutioniseSPORT releases Digital Strategy White Paper

06 AUGUST 2014

revolutioniseSPORT has released a white paper aimed at Australia's governing sporting organisations outlining the four cornerstones of digital strategy in sport.

According to their analysis of over 50 Australian National and State bodies, sport in Australia is in the midst of change - a paradigm shift where peak organisations are no longer content with a technology solution that is "good enough". Their research reveals sports are coming to grips with the fact that they must have a cohesive strategy to unify the direction of their digital assets.

The white paper describes practical steps for developing a sound digital strategy to:

1. Gather meaningful data from members
2. Extract key insights from membership data
3. Leverage the power of social media
4. Maintain a strong, integrated and professional website

"The intention is to arm State and National sporting organisations with straightforward, practical tools they can use to boost participation and streamline membership management," explains Director Alex Mednis. "We hope that by following these steps, governing bodies can maximise what digital technology has to offer their sport, and they can expect to see leaps and bounds in their sport moving into the future."

revolutioniseSPORT have also developed a Digital Strategy Health Check, free for State and National Sporting Organisations, which was launched at the Australian Sports Technologies Network SSO/NSO workshop for governing bodies in Brisbane last week, with over 90 representatives from peak bodies based in Queensland in attendance to participate in a digital strategy session. Sessions across NSW and the ACT are coming in the next six weeks.
